What do you do when the deer now have guns?

Get into the ammunition business.

The face of journalism is changing dramatically and newspapers are in the vanguard of this trend.

To that end, today we announce the formation of The Oakland Press Institute for Citizen Journalism and invite readers to attend our classes.

The press needs to learn the same hard rules that photographers are trying to learn: Digital media empowers people to tell their stories, and nowadays the only thing that shooters and writers have over everybody else is their experience. Don't we all, Rembrandt, don't we all...

Lost in translation

And now he's gone. But his pictures will live on forever.
