This article in the New York Times makes a point I've been saying for a while: Customers know where the free WiFi spots are, and will flock to them over pay-for-use locations. Morover, they'll resent companies that try to squeeze a few extra bucks out of their patrons by charging them for service.

And yes, blogging's been light, and it will be so for a while more.
